My first degree I obtained from the Lviv State Medical University, Ukraine, with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Pharmacy. Later I completed a Ph.D. course in Pharmacognosy (pharmaceutical production using plants as the source material). I was employed by Lviv State Medical University as a Professor Assistant and Lecturer at the Pharmacognosy and Botany Department. I delivered academic lectures and supervised practicals in Medicinal Botany, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Natural Resources.
My research activities I carried out in close cooperation with R&D team of local Pharmaceutical Plant “Halychpharm” were I obtained valuable experience in formulation and validation of new products.
To liberalize and update my knowledge in pharmaceutical business I decided to attend Graduate Diploma and then MSc course in Pharmaceutical Production (biotechnology stream) in IT Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland.
During my recent study I have gained valuable exposure to modern laboratory and simulated production environments. I have excelled in areas such as Project Management, System Validation, Regulatory Affairs, GMP and GLP, Biostatics and Clinical Trials. I am familiar with Experimental Design and Industrial Statistics.
I always enjoyed analytical work and had keen interest to work in the Health Care field.
In March 2007, with great pleasure, I have joined the BCD Research Team. My current research focused on the detection of crystals in synovial fluid.
