Complex Solutions is a new custom synthesis provider with expertise in the synthesis of speciality chemicals, specifically in the areas of 2H labelling and transition metal complexes for Sensor Applications, NMR and Mass Spectrometry, Photochemistry and Photophysics.

The company has developed out of the research group of Prof. Han Vos and specialises in the synthesis of polypyridyl type ligands and their ruthenium complexes with tailor-made spectroscopic properties for non-invasive oxygen and pH sensor technologies, photovoltaic cell design, LED and modified electrodes.

More recently a custom synthesis for regioselectively 2H labelling aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds has been developed, providing low cost solutions to NMR and mass spec problems. Deuteriated ligands such as d8-2,2'-bipyridyl (d8-bpy), d8-1,10-phenanthroline (d8-phen) and partially and fully deuteriated 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dx-Ph2phen) are available.

Ruthenium complexes containing these modified ligands are also available. Listed below are some of our most commonly requested products.
