Vacancies - Employment Opportunities

PhD studentship - National Biophonotics and Imaging Platforms

A PhD student is sought to work with a multidisciplinary team on an SFI funded project aimed toward development of simple mimics of the cell membrane to study membrane bound protein motion using time-resolved fluorescence. The project will involve assembly of lipid bilayers from liposomes and protein modified liposomes onto nanostructured substrates with fluorescence studies of in. Candidates must have a primary degree (2.1 or 1st level) in chemistry or a strongly chemistry related discipline and a strong interest in supramolecular & interfacial chemistry and or photophysics. Stipend is €15000 over 3.5 years and fees will be covered.
