Oxidative DNA Damage

Analytical Tools for the Life Sciences” is a series of workshops hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry, which aims to bring together researchers from chemistry and life science to discuss problems and opportunities and to facilitate collaborations between the two disciplines. The first of these conferences, “Oxidative DNA Damage”, will be held in the Research and Engineering Building in DCU on March 28th, 2008, and is organised locally by Blánaid White, SSG.

Printed Functional Materials

This one day symposium, organised by Aoife Morrin of SSG, will focus on the production, characterisation and properties of printable functional materials and illustrate how they are being applied to the development of technologies such as sensors, microfluidics, diagnostic devices and printed electronic systems. The symposium will bring together both academic theme leaders and industrialists in this rapidly emerging and commercially important field. The conference will be of interest to all those interested in the synthesis, characterisation and application of printed functional materials. For more information, please visit
