Short Courses at the School of Communications

The School of Communications offers short training courses and seminars across the range of its activities and expertise, from writing skills to communication technologies, to theoretical perspectives and professional issues.
These courses draw on and condense the knowledge and experience of staff members and practitioners who help design and deliver degree programmes, such as Communications, Journalism, Multimedia, and Film and Television Studies.

Facilities available include broadcast-quality radio and television studios, multimedia computer labs, suitable spaces for media interviews and press conferences, seminar rooms and a range of catering options.

We can tailor courses for professional, academic, business or community groups in the following subjects and related areas:

Among the School’s short course and seminar clients have been groups of university academics, editorial staff from RTÉ, scientific and technical staff from several state agencies, the Ballymun and Finglas/Cabra area partnerships, numerous non-government organisations, community media organisations, and many more.
