IWPT 2011 - Instructions for Presenters

12th International Conference on Parsing Technologies

October 5-7, 2011, Dublin City University

These instructions are for presenters at IWPT 2011.

Long Talk

The time for your talk is 20 minutes, followed by 8 minutes for discussion and 2 minutes for changing speakers. Please make sure that your presentation fits in the alotted time frame. A beamer and a laptop running Windows 7 with Office 2010 and Adobe Reader will be provided in the room, but you can use your own laptop if you prefer. (If you need additional technical equipment, please contact the local organizers in advance to find out what is feasible.) Be sure to show up at least 15 minutes before your session starts in order to introduce yourself to the session chair and copy your presentation on to the computer in the room (or check that you can connect your laptop without problem). This is necessary to ensure that sessions will run smoothly with a minimum of time needed to change between presentations.

Short Talk and Poster

The time for your talk is 10 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for questions and 2 minutes for changing speakers.

Immediately after the short talk session, there is a one-hour poster session (combined with a coffee break) to permit extended discussion of your paper. To ensure a smooth transition between the talk session and the poster session, we ask you to put up your poster in the dedicated area before the talk session starts. Poster boards accommodating A0 posters in either portrait or landscape will be provided.
