This event, comprising a symposium on the Thursday afternoon/evening and a full-day workshop on the Friday, forms part of DCU's involvement in the MEDIVA project, which seeks to strengthen the capacity of media to reflect the increasing diversity of European societies and to foster better understandings of immigrant integration.

While the symposium is intentionally wide-ranging in scope - with a select number of invited speakers presenting thoughts and research on a variety of themes relating to diversity in European media - the workshop on Friday focuses specifically on the subject of "diversity training". Participants will include both academic researchers and industry professionals.
