Please find below the main papers/presentations from a very successful conference around Re-Inventing the University organised jointly between Dublin City University and Arizona State University. They address the need for critical and proactive thinking to develop a bold new strategy for the 21st Century university. They address themes such as design principles, access and participation, the economic impact of higher education, how to deal with a complex global world, the needs of business, the importance of public engagement and the student perspective. In the weeks to come we shall make available a forum for discussion around these themes and the need for the Irish university in particular to develop new design principles.
