School of Education Studies
At DCU School of Education Studies we are committed to the provision of programmes that provide our graduates with the knowledge, understanding and skills to be leaders, administrators, teachers, counsellors, trainers and other personnel in a variety of education and training settings. Students and staff are also engaged in researching questions that exercise us and help us to broaden our conceptualisation of education and training.
All of the programmes we offer are rooted in a fundamental approach that views learning as a life long and core activity for all human beings. Our staff has worked hard to develop modules that provide students with a chance to develop their strengths in teaching strategies, communication skills, group dynamics, assessment and evaluation as well being able to critically reflect on educational policy and practice through the study of sociology, philosophy, history and psychology.
