Changing Boundaries: Spirituality and Education
Organisers
WISER is a research consortium founded in 2008 with a view to engaging in research on wellbeing, interculturalism and spirituality in education. The consortium is composed of academics and senior practitioners from 12 different countries.
The School of Education Studies is Ireland’s largest university education department. It offers both concurrent and consecutive opportunities in teacher education and its’ staff are engaged in research on aspects of citizenship, diversity and equality, wellbeing and sustainability in educational environments. All Hallows is a College of Dublin City University specialising in teaching and research in Theology, Psychology, Philosophy, and English at undergraduate level and Leadership and Pastoral Care, Social Justice and Public Policy, Management of Voluntary and Community Organisations at taught Masters Level. It also offers MA Research Degrees and PhD in humanities. The College also hosts the Spiritual Capital Centre. Conference Contact: Dr. Bernadette Flanagan.

Mater Dei Institute of Education is a College of Dublin City University specialising in the academic and professional education of Religious Educators, Chaplains and Teachers for post-primary schools in Ireland. The Institute also hosts the Irish Centre for Religious Education and the Irish Centre for Poetry Studies. Conference Contact: Dr. Kevin Williams.

St. Patrick’s College is a College of Dublin City University specialising in the academic and professional education of teachers for primary schools. It also offers degrees and research in the humanities and hosts the Centre for the Study of Human Development and the Centre for Human Rights and Citizenship Education.
