(a) FREE FEES SCHEME
(i) First Undergraduate Degree
(ii) Nationality Test
EU passport
or
Original Irish Birth Certificate
or
Original EU Nationality Identity Card
or
Official Irish Refugee Status (requires the appropriate original letter from the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform indicating
that the appropriate status has been granted).
AND
(iii) Previous Work/Studies Test
An applicant must have spent 3 of the last 5 years in full-time study or work in an EU member state prior to the commencement of the course.
This full-time study/work requirement will be deemed satisfied in the case of an applicant for whom a spouse is claiming a tax benefit which must be confirmed by a P21 form or evidence of social welfare benefits.
Student's attending 'free' fees courses pay as follows:

Students who are not entitled to 'free' Undergraduate tuition, pay fees as listed in the fee schedule of this booklet.
N.B. Free' undergraduate tuition only applies to full-time programmes.
Students classified for fee purposes as non-EU/EU status will not be permitted to change their fee status following admission
Payment of Fees:
Candidates classified as Non-EU for fees purposes must pay the full Non-EU fee upon acceptance of a place. Deposits alone will not secure a place for a Non-EU candidate. Candidates may be granted an extension of 2 weeks (maximum) to secure funds, if necessary. After this date, the place is no longer guaranteed for the candidate.
Please note that a preliminary assessment takes place upon application to a programme. Candidates must supply original supporting documentation on or before registration.
