San-José - Dublin Sister City Programme Exchange Scholarship 2016

"Throughout my scholarship year with DCU, SJSU and Cypress Semiconductor, I was in a state of shock and excitement. I was one of a few lucky Irish students who had made it to a global semiconductor's HQ in Silicon Valley. The experience, friends and career development  obtained from this once in a lifetime opportunity will stand to me for the rest of my life" - Andrew Kiernan, 2013 San-José-Dublin Sister City Exchange Scholarship recipient

The application process has now opened for the 2016 San José - Dublin Sister City Exchange Programme.  See below for application form and guldelines for applicants. The closing date for applications (to be submitted to graduatestudiesoffice@dcu.ie) is 12 noon GMT on  Friday 22nd April 2016.

This generous scholarship is for a DCU taught masters programme (the student will register for the 2016-17 full-time DCU MEng in Electronic Systems), undertaken in partnership with San José State University (SJSU), and a Silicon Valley-based company, leading to an award that is both industry and internationally relevant. The application process is open to graduates/prospective 2016 graduates from all Dublin higher education institutions, as well as those who may have registered for the February 2016 intake of the MEng in Electronic Systems in DCU.

Under the terms of the scholarship the successful candidate will register in DCU, undertake some modules in SJSU, and undertake a project during an internship in a US company based in San José.

The scholarship is valued at over US$50,000 and covers tuition fees in DCU and SJSU, a stipend while in Dublin, book expenses, meals and accommodation and an allowance/internship salary while in the US, as well as the international airfare.
