Health4Life represents the evolving and vibrant inter-professional research portfolio of the School of Nursing at Dublin City University. It incorporates an exciting range of over-arching research topic clusters, each with a number of research programmes and embedded projects as follows:
- Understanding and transforming practice
- Psychosocial wellbeing
- Population and global health
- Health systems and processes
A number of cross-cutting strands are integral to all research activities within Health4Life. These include:
- Academic Practice
- A critical perspective on evidence, practice and education
- Service user participation at all levels of inquiry
- Technological innovation and informatics
The Mission of Health4Life is to:
- Conduct high quality, relevant and innovative research with clearly defined outputs
- Promote inter-professional and inter-organisational research
- Push the boundaries in research innovation
- Enhance meaningful links between research, theory and practice
- Promote quality training and support for researchers
- Inform policy development
