This section isn’t to do with groundsmen, painters and carpenters, it’s to do with you! The University depends on all its members to keep the campus and buildings tidy and in good repair.

Litter: Please do not leave litter around the grounds or in the buildings -- use the bins provided. Your co- operation will be much appreciated by the cleaners and grounds staff.

Furniture: Please respect the furniture in lecture rooms and social areas. Do not put your feet on the upholstered chairs in the Pavilion coffee bar or the lounge and TV room in the Campus Social Centre.

Breakages/Faults: Please report all breakages or faults to the Buildings Office (extension 5336). Examples are: broken seats in lecture rooms, lights not working, faulty doors, blocked toilets, broken air extractors or hand-dryers, sockets without power.

Restaurant: Pleasebring your trays to the trollies when you have finished your meal, not only for the sake of tidiness and other users but in order to keep costs and prices down.

Sports Complex: The co-operation of all users is requested in maintaining the Sports Complex in top class condition (see section on Sport and Recreation). Some of the more important requirements are as follows:

• outdoor shoes are not to be worn in the main halls;
• food or drink is not to be taken into any activity area;
• please treat all equipment with care and return to the appropriate storage area;
• keep fire doo
rs clear of equipment at all times;
• please refrain from smoking in any part of the complex as the building is strictly non-smoking
• as there are separate changing rooms and showers for indoor and outdoor sports please use the appropriate facility so that the former can be kept as clean as possible.
