Biographical Details:

Siobhain McGovern is a senior lecturer in economics at DCU Business School. She holds a BA and an MSc in Economics from Trinity College Dublin, a BSc in Mathematics from the Open University and a PhD from Dublin City University. Her main research areas are philosophy of social science, economic methodology, and history of economic thought. She was director of the DCU MBA programme from 1999 to 2002, director of the Professional Doctoral Programme from 2005 to 2011, and director of the Doctoral Studies Programme from 2008 to 2011. She is currently Head of the Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship (EFE) group in the DCU Business School.
