Dr Carmel Mulcahy
Biographical Details:
Carmel Mulcahy is a former Head of The School of Education Studies. Since joining DCU in 1997, she has been part of a team within the school that has developed a wide range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She lectures in the areas of values, interculturalism, managing diversity and professional skills.
Research Interests:
To date my research has covered a wide canvas across all levels of education from Primary to Tertiary. My main interest has continued to be in the area of access and inclusion in education, in particular from the perspective of inclusive citizenship. My research work has encompassed studies on how Ireland has responded to a rapidly increasing pluralist society. Click here to view my current research projects.
