Biographical Details:

I joined DCU as a senior lecturer in late 2002, and since January 2007 am serving as Head of School in the School of Computing. Prior to then I spent six years with Bell Labs Research (the research division of Lucent Technologies) in Murray Hill, New Jersey, and four years with the Database Research Group at ETH in Zurich, Switzerland. And going right back to the late 80s and early 90s, I did my Ph.D. at the Department of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Research Interests:

Network data management, payment for network services and digital content, electronic commerce, network services, network management, stream data management, database systems, genomic databases.
