Biographical Details:

Dr Tracey Harrington (PhD, RGN, RNT, BNS(hons)ENB 405)is a lecturer in Children's and General Nursing.She is director of Professional Development in DCU.Previously Dr Harrington worked as a Nurse Tutor in Children's University Hospital, Temple St, Dublin. Her PhD, completed at Imperial College, London, involved investigation of & quantification of adipose tissue content and distribution in newborn infants using magnetic resonace imaging. Infant nutrition and obesity have become the main focus of her research following on from her PhD.

Research Interests:

Clinical research interests; Infant health and nutrition, obesity and related disorders. From an educational perspective alternate educational methods such as enquiry based learning (EBL)
