Biographical Details:

Niamh obtained her PhD in 1991 from Trinity College Dublin in the area of plant secondary metabolites. In 2001 she became a Scientific Programme Officer with Science Foundation Ireland. In 2007 she joined the Office of the Vice-President for Research at DCU where she co-ordinated the PRTLI Cycle 4 and 5 bids.

Research Interests:

Responsible for Research Assessment and Reporting; Institutional proposals; HEA (PRTLI, LIRE, RFES, Equipment, ERDF procedures); Forfas (HERD, Research Prioritization); Irish Aid; DCU-RCSI-NUIM Translational Research Hub (TRH); National Research Data Project (iResearch), FP7 Nanosciences, nanotechnologies, materials & new production technologies (NMP); Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and Biotechnology (FAFB); Environment, socio-Economic Sciences and Humanities (SESH), Security and ENIAC.
