Biographical Details:

Edel Conway (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational Psychology at DCU Business School and is the Director of the Leadership Innovation and Knowledge (LInK) Research Centre at DCU. Edel is a registered psychologist and is especially interested in employee perspectives on work including their reactions to work intensification and organisational change. Her research focuses on the public sector and knowledge intensive firms, particularly in the pharma, ICT, and financial service sectors. Edel's research has received both national and international recognition. She is a former recipient of the European Young Psychologist Award, as well as a DCU Albert College Fellowship. Edel previously worked as a HR consultant with Citibank and was a research assistant at the London Business School. Edel is a member of the Editorial Advisory Boards of Human Resource Management Journal and Personnel Review and is Associate Editor of the Irish Journal of Management. Edel sits on the council of the Irish Academy of Management and is a member of the Academy of Management, the European Association of Work and Organisational Psychology, the European Academy of Management, and the Psychological Society of Ireland.

Employee perspectives on HRM including: HRM in the health service; HRM in a change context; HRM and performance, including organisational citizenship behaviour; Management education and development, including leadership development; Middle managers and change; Knowledge sharing; Psychological contracts.
