Biographical Details:

Worked at Northern Illinois University, the University of Oregon and the University of New Mexico. From 1986, Professor of Communication in Dublin City University. At various periods since then, served in the role of Head of School and Dean of the Faculty. From 1995 to 2000, served as Chairman of RTE, the national public service broadcasting system in Ireland.

Research Interests:

Media Studies; Political Communication; European Media Policy and Public Communication in the EU; International Communication.
