Biographical Details:

Dearbhla McGrath completed a B.A. International in French and Music in NUI Maynooth in 2006. Following this, she was conferred with a Masters in Translation Studies from the School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies, Dublin City University in 2007. Her thesis focused on the translation of fairy tales for children. Currently, she is a final year PhD candidate in Comparative Literature in DCU. Her thesis is entitled Weaving Words; A Diachronic Analysis of the Representations of Gender, Sexuality and Otherness in Womens (Re)Writings of La Belle et la Bete.
