Prof. Kathy Monks

Biographical Details:

Prof. Kathy Monks is Director of LInK - the Learning, Innovation and Knowledge Research Centre, a university designated research centre. She was chair of the Irish Academy of Management from 2001-2004 and is currently editor of the Irish Journal of Management, and is a member of the Research Advisory Board of the National Centre for Partnership and Performance. She holds a BA (Hons) from University College Dublin and M.Litt and Ph.D. degrees from Trinity College Dublin. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She worked in the area of human resource management and joined DCU in 1986. Following completion of a Ph.D on the education and training of personnel managers, she has published in the areas of management education, human resource management and professional careers.
