Biographical Details:

Prof. Pamela Gallagher (BA Mod (Psychology), DipStat, PhD, PGCE, GDipE, Reg. Psychol. Ps.S.I.) is an Associate Professor in Psychology at the School of Nursing and Human Sciences, Dublin City University, Ireland. She co-leads the `Psychosocial Health¿ Programme of Research in the School¿s Health4Life Research Portfolio.

Research Interests:

Principal research interests include (1) psychosocial impacts of illness, disability and loss with particular interest in psycho-oncology, amputation and prosthetics (See Dublin Psychoprosthetics Group: www.psychoprosthetics.ie); (2) Psychosocial Oncology (3) Enabling technology, its integration into the self and its impact on body image and rehabilitation; (4) Levels of ability and functioning and participation in society.
