Standards of Design for the Dublin City University Primary Web Site
- Each page will feature a navy banner of the official University shade (#000066).
- The college logo will appear in the top left-hand corner of the navy banner.
- An audience determined menu of hyperlinks will appear on the left-hand side of the page, allowing easy navigation of the entire site.
- Page specific links will appear on the right-hand side of the page.
- The main body of each page will feature black text over a white background. Hyperlinks will be in blue, used links will be in red.
- All pages or logical groups of pages will indicate the date on which they were last reviewed and will also provide contact facilities.
- University publications being presented on-line will reflect the design format of the original publications, e.g. the on-line University Prospectus 2004.
- All new material on the Primary Web Site will conform to the HTML 4.0 Transitional specification and to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 as outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium. Where legacy materials are reviewed or reworked, they also will be updated to conform to the specifications.
