GAA in Europe

The GAA in Europe is a young organisation but already has more than twenty clubs spread right across the continent. 17 clubs play men's football, 11 ladies football and 9 provide hurling activities. Many former ERASMUS and/or other exchange students have joined European clubs and enjoyed playing in tournaments which are held once a month in various European cities, along with the camaraderie and 'craic' associated with training and social events organised by clubs.

Indeed, some have said that it really helped them to settle into new cities and cultures. The clubs and their local members also provided an enjoyable link, and sometimes useful contacts, for mixing not only with Irish people living abroad but with the many indigenous players who have developed a love for Gaelic games and culture.

Their website address is www.parisgaa.org . Should any students require further information with regards to training or getting involved, please do not hesitate to contact Eileen Jennings who will be happy to help you become involved in the Gaelic community in Paris.
Eileen can be contacted at: - eileen.jennings@gmail.com or Tel : +33 650916650 - Our European website www.europe.gaa.ie
