School of Law and Government Student sets record at Rio Paralympics

Greta Streimikyte, an International Relations student DCU, was placed fourth in her first ever Paralympics final in Rio, setting a new Irish national record and knocking almost four seconds off her personal best. Greta, who was born in Lithuania, has been living in Ireland for the last five years. In June, 21-year old Greta made her debut for the Irish Para-Athletics team during the IPC Athletics European Championships in Italy. She competed in the T13 1,500m final finishing third.
