My name is Jack Hyland and I am the subject librarian for staff and students in the Business School and Fiontar. Linguistics

CSA Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts: broad coverage of language and linguistic issues including language education. Indexes journals, books, etc.

JSTOR: is an archive of journal articles in "Langauage & Literature" and other disciplines.

Oxford Journals Online: journal articles from arts, humanities and social science including the following titles: Forum for Modern Languages StudiesSocial Science Japan Journal and British Journal of Aesthetics.

General databases

Google Scholar: a simple way to search across all disciplines for scholarly literature including articles, theses, working and conference papers, and books.

NexisUK: extensive newspaper coverage, including many international business titles.

Scopus is one of the largest multi-disciplinary abstracting and indexing databases of research literature. It offers coverage of over 16,000 titles across all disciplines, with abstracts and citations data available from 1996.

Swetswise is a database of approximately 80% of the print journals held in DCU Library (and its linked college libraries St. Patrick's and Mater Dei). It provides keyword searching of thousands of articles in Irish print journals. Quick and convenient electronic access to information that is hard to get elsewhere. 

Web of Science: Abstracts of articles in top scholarly social sciences journals with links to full text where available.
