How much will it cost me to be a student for the year?

On average students living a way from home would need to budget for €968 -
€1,062per month depending on single/double room.
Students living at home will require less, with the average monthly expense being €486-€493 per month.

Can I get a place at DCU and then postpone taking it up?

At DCU we try to facilitate successful applicants who wish to defer their offer of a place. Upon receipt of your offer, please contact our Admissions Office immediately (Phone: +353-1-700-5338 ) and we can guide you through making an application for a deferral.

When do I start in DCU?

There is a special orientation week arranged for new first year students.
This takes place the week beginning, Monday, 17th September. Orientation week helps you get your bearings around campus and settle in before the other 8,000 students come back from their summer break. During the week you will be introduced to the various facilities and supports available on campus, in addition to entertainment being organised all week by the Students' Union.

When do lectures commence?

Lectures commence on Monday, 24th September, don’t be late!

When can I register as a student?

Should you receive an offer of a place in DCU and accept it, you will receive information in early September. Online registration for first year students begins on Wednesday, 5th September.
