DCU Multimedia Students stage 'Dubliners' exhibition
Little Cloud Media, a group of Multimedia Masters students from Dublin City University, will stage an interactive exhibition exploring James Joyce's short stories collection. Dubliners, in the National Library of Ireland from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th of August. The exhibition, undertaken as the group's final project, will take place as part of the Darklight Festival which celebrates independent, DYI, animation, VFX and artist film.
Steven Battle, Joey Kavanagh, Paul Power & Rebecca Saunders, students of the Masters in Multimedia course at Dublin City University and founders of Little Cloud Media described the exhibition.
"Inspired by James Joyce's short story collection 'Dubliners', the exhibition employs a variety of different media to explore and interpret a selection of the stories, which continue to resonate with readers around the world almost a century after their original publication.
In keeping with the stories' progression from the youthful exuberance of childhood through to the sage realisations of old age, the exhibits focusing on the earlier stories incorporate a more colourful and imaginative approach, with a shift towards a more analytical and critical approach for later stories."
Exhibition opening hours:
Saturday 25th August: 1pm - 4:30pm
Sunday 26th August: 1pm - 5pm
Monday 27th August: 9:30am - 7:45pm
