International Academic Journal award for DCU Academic

Dr. Regina Connolly, a Senior Lecturer in Management Information Systems at DCU Business School and her colleague Prof. Frank Bannister from TCD have received the prestigious Government Information Quarterly Journal's inaugural award "Best Paper award" for their work on "Trust and transformational government: A proposed framework for research".

Government Information Quarterly is a high impact international journal that examines the intersection of policy, information technology, government and the public. As the leading journal in the field, GIQ seeks to publish high quality scholarly research, reviews, review essay and editorials that inform both researchers and practitioners.

The stringent evaluation criteria for this award include intellectual merit, presentation quality, rigour in theory, methodology, analysis and empiricism and recognise research that is likely to have a long-lasting impact on the field of the e-government research. The evaluation and review committee for Government Information Quarterly concluded unanimously that the Bannister and Connolly paper was the best paper out of the 58 entrees that they analysed.
