DCU grad retains European Cross-Country title

DCU graduate, Fionnuala Britton has made history by becoming the first ever woman to retain the European Senior Cross-Country title. Fionnuala held off Ana Dulce Felix from Portugal in a dramatic finish to win by a two-second lead in Budapest at the weekend.

Fionnuala was joined by team-mate and fellow DCU graduate, Linda Byrne in leading Ireland to its first-ever gold in the team event in Budapest at the weekend.

DCU warmly congratulates Fionnuala and Linda for their outstanding and inspiring performances.
