DCU claim O'Byrne Cup

Congratulations to the DCU Sigerson team on claiming the Bord na Mona O'Byrne Cup in dramatic fashion at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise. A last-minute goal in wet and windy conditions clinched victory for DCU with a final score of 3-7 to Kildare's 1-12.

Further cause for celebration was DCU Camogie's team triumph in the Purcell Cup final at the weekend. Captained by Laura Twomey, the team defeated Maynooth in the semi-final on Saturday, going on to comprehensively defeat Queen's University Belfast on Sunday to lift the Purcell cup for the first time.
