Orientation for the Acclaim Programme 2012

Dublin City University will host the first ever transition and orientation programme for those on the Autism Spectrum, including Asperger's, entering University this Autumn. The orientation is scheduled to run from 08th - 22nd of August 2012 from 9am to 5pm. The local co-ordinators, Dr Mary Rose Sweeney and Prof. Anthony Staines have been committed to establishing and running this programme from the DCU campus.

Participants planning on taking up a place in any University in Ireland are eligible to apply and it is open to anyone on the Autism Spectrum regardless of whether you disclosed this on your CAO documentation.

DCU has been working in conjunction with the Irish Autism Action (IAA) and the Watson institute Pittsburgh, USA to roll out the Acclaim programme. For more information on how to apply, please contact autismireland.ie.
