Professor Anthony Staines appointed to Board of HEA
Professor Anthony Staines of DCU's School of Nursing and Human Sciences, has recently been appointed by Government to the board of the Higher Education Authority. Six other new members were appointed, bringing the membership to 19 (see full list below).
Professor Staines has a particular interest in health information systems, the social costs of illness and the provision of health care to populations.
John Hennessy, Chairman of the HEA, said, “With the addition of the skills and experience that these new members bring, the HEA position in implementing the National Strategy on Higher Education will be further strengthened.”
