DCU spin-out recruiting at novel Hackathon event
Xcelerator, an early-stage start-up spun out from DCU Invent, is adopting a novel approach to recruiting server and front-end software developers. Xcelerator, a cloud based machine translation service for the localization industry, is inviting people who can code quickly, find solutions fast and who are good at solving problems to attend a Hackathon recruitment event in DCU Invent on Thursday 14th September 2012 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
Applicants will be given a challenging, computational task to be completed in any programming language within 90 minutes. Those who complete the challenge will be offered an interview with a member of the Xcelerator team. Successful candidates will ultimately work with an experienced team of start-up veterans to develop a cloud-based Machine Translation (MT) system that will improve the user experience of millions of people. As one of Xcelerator's startup developers, they will define and solve the many interesting problems faced in the development of cloud-based Machine Translation for the localisation industry.
