DCU Student laptop scheme

DCU have joined together with AIB to provide students with the opportunity to purchase a new DCU laptop. Called the DCU SmartBook, this HP laptop is a highly efficient support solution and a reliable laptop that has all the necessary software and hardware that you will need during your college studies. All DCU Smartbooks come with a full 3 year warranty and repairs will be managed through a support desk in DCU.

If you need access to a laptop while it is being repaired, you can avail of the DCU SmartBook Loan Replacement scheme free of charge (terms & conditions do apply). This facility is only available to students who have purchased a DCU SmartBook. Those with their own laptops will not get this support. This is an essential service if you need a laptop during online assessments, coming up to assignment deadlines or during exam time.

AIB are providing a special variable rate loan option specifically for students who wish to purchase the new laptop. For more information on the AIB loan scheme, call into the campus branch in The Street and pick up a leaflet.
