Students v Staff 5K Fun Run

Following on from the massive success of last year’s event, the annual Students v Staff 5k Fun Run will take place on Wednesday 30th April.  Organised by the School of Nursing & Human Sciences and the DCU GAA Academy, the race will raise funds for the DCU Access, Outreach and Sports Scholarship Programmes.

Our resident sports experts, Enda Fitzpatrick (DCU Athletics Director) and Jonny Cooper (Dublin Gaelic footballer) will be on hand on the day from 1pm to oversee the warm-up.  The race will begin and end at the DCU letters outside the Helix, taking in a few laps of the Albert College Park en route.  Each runner will be given a chip which will accurately record his or her finish time.  Fancy dress is optional or you can wear your county colours with pride!  Prizes on the day will include Adidas training gear, a signed Dublin GAA jersey and many other edible goodies (all healthy, natch!)

To make it easier for you, Enda has provided a training schedule which will keep you on track for the big day.  Everyone is welcome, whatever your level of fitness, so why not end the semester on a high note?

Registration for the run is only €5 for students and €10 for staff.  You can register online here or in person at DCU Sports Centre, The Hub and the Nursing School on Wednesday 16th and Wednesday 23rd April.
