DCU student receives Undergraduate Award

DCU student Diego Garaialde has won The Undergraduate Award in the Psychology category, joining 48 of the brightest and most innovative undergraduate students in the world who have this year received this prestigious award.  Diego was recognised for his work entitled ‘Measuring the Effects of Gaming Principles on the Productivity and Motivation of College Students”.   A further DCU student, Beryl Boemer was also Highly Commended in the International Relations and Politics category, placed in the top 10% of her field.

The Undergraduate Awards (UA) is the only pan-discipline academic awards programme in the world. It has been operating globally since 2011. The UA recognises the best and brightest students and brings them together to encourage inter-disciplinary cooperation that transcends borders, advances scholarship, and promotes new academic thinking.

The winners are invited to attend The UA Global Summit, which is taking place in Dublin, Ireland from November 19th-21st. The UA Global Summit is an opportunity for these excellent students and graduates to meet their peers across a large variety of disciplines and take part in a unique and inspiring event with thought leaders from around the world. It is a chance to build life-long relationships in the academic world.
