DCU academic wins Brian Farrell book prize

Prof. Iain McMenamin of the School of Law and Government was this weekend awarded the Political Studies Association of Ireland 2014 Brian Farrell book prize for his book "If Money Talks What Does It Say? Corruption and Business Financing of Political Parties" 

This book places business financing of political parties in the context of debates about political corruption and offers advice on political reform. Described in the citation as a landmark book which is sure to shape future research into the politically-important questions of what motivates business donations to political parties, and how regulations and political context shape their decisions "If Money Talks What Does It Say? Corruption and Business Financing of Political Parties" is published by Oxford University Press.

The Political Studies Association of Ireland was established in 1982 with the purpose of promoting the study of politics both in and of Ireland and currently consists of over 250 members worldwide.
