DCU to launch guidelines for student nurses with disabilities on clinical placements

The Dublin City University School of Nursing and Human Sciences, in collaboration with the Association for Higher Education Access & Disability (AHEAD), is delighted to launch guidelines which will play a significant role in ensuring the success of nursing students with a disability or specific learning disability. These guidelines will be officially launched on Monday 13th April at 12:30pm in the DCU School of Nursing.
The guidelines, specifically for student nurses with disabilities requiring reasonable accommodation on clinical placements, are unique and innovative in that they are aimed at both the student and the clinical staff that they engage with placement learning environments.
