Nine DCU players on All-Ireland U21 team

Nine DCU players were involved with Mayo at the weekend as they overcame Cork in a pulsating All-Ireland U21 Final at Cusack Park, Ennis winning 1-14 to 5-07.

Eddie Doran, Seamus Cunniffe, Diarmuid O'Connor, Brian Reape, Michael Plunkett, Conor Loftus, Shairoze Akram, Matthew Ruane and Michael Hall were all part of the victorious Mayo U21 squad.

Mayo last claimed the All-Ireland U21 title in 2004 while Cork tasted success in 2009.
