Programme Fees

Undergraduate Fees 2016/2017

The 2016-2017 fee for each module on Open Education's undergraduate pogrammes is €850 for EU students.

To graduate with a BA (Hons) students must successfully complete 12 modules. To graduate with a BSc (Hons) students must successfully complete 14 modules.

The above fee includes registration, examination, tuition and other such fees. For the module fee, students are also provided with online access to a softcopy of a detailed self-instructional module text (which covers the main content of each module). Students can download the module text for printing, viewing on e-readers, etc.  In addition, most modules will require students to purchase textbooks. Students should budget approximately €50 per module for textbooks.

Open Education employs an agency (called PAC) to provide online application services. For information on making an application, see the 'How to Apply' section under each undergraduate programme. PAC will charge undergraduate applicants a fee of €35.

On receipt of an application, Open Education will normally make an offer within two weeks. Please note that all first year applicants, who accept their offer from Open Education, will be required to pay a non refundable deposit of €500. Instructions on how to pay this online will be detailed within the offer. This amount will be deducted from the total fees due at registration. (At registration, students choose exactly which modules they will study in the coming academic year).

Postgraduate Fees 2016/2017

The 2016-2017 fee for each module on Open Education's postgraduate programmes (including the Dissertation module) is €1,885 for EU students.

To graduate with an MSc, students must successfully complete five modules (i.e. four taught modules and one Dissertation Module).

The above fee includes registration, assessment, tuition and other such fees. For the module fee, students are also provided with online access to a softcopy of a detailed self-instructional module text (which covers the main content of each module). Students can download the module text for printing, viewing on e-readers, etc. In addition, most modules will require students to purchase textbooks. Students should budget approximately €50 per module for textbooks.

DCU employs an agency (called PAC) to provide online application services for all its postgraduate programmes. For information on making an application, see the 'How to Apply' section under each postgraduate programme. PAC will charge postgraduate applicants a fee of €50.
