Programme Description:

Programme Chair: Professor Mike Scott

Open to graduates of DCU School of Computing's Graduate Diploma in Information Technology, this is a one-year part-time Master of Science research programme.

Programme Structure:

This one-year part-time programme typically sees students spending the summer months following successful completion of their Graduate Diploma deciding on a research area, contacting one or more members of academic staff, and agreeing on both a suitable research topic and supervisor.

Set in a lively, active research environment, the programme offers three support modules to students, each of which is designed to provide step-by-step preparation to guide the research efforts of students, and to assist in preparing the final dissertation.

Entry Requirements:

Graduates from the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology programme (full and part-time) who have obtained an overall distinction are invited to apply for a position on this Master's programme.

International Applications
International candidates are expected to have educational qualifications of a standard equivalent to those outlined above. In addition, where such candidates are non-native speakers of the English language they must satisfy the university of their competency in the English language.
