Description
To familiarise students with statistical inference and some widely used management science models.

Learning Outcomes
1. Apply statistical hypothesis tests in business a financial applications
2. Test statistical hypotheses concerning means and proportions for one or multiple samples, and concering variances for one or two samples
3. Apply correlation and regression analysis techniques to two variables
4. Use statistical software to analyse survey data
5. Identify and formulate linear programming applications
6. Calculate solutions to linear programming problems, and carry out simple sensitivity analyses
7. Analyse simple queuing systems
8. Analyse decision making applications under risk and uncertainty
9. Draw network representations of projects and apply the Critical Path Method
