Description
This module aims to provide students with the skills necessary to understand, design and implement a database using Microsoft SQL Server or Access.

Learning Outcomes
1. Design and construct a database for a real world situation
2. Comprehend how to Translate an informal problem specifications into a well-formed relational schema
3. Demonstrate the ability to write SQL to modify and query the data within a relational database
4. Identify the concept of Functional Dependencies and Implement Normalisation of relational Database
5. Recognise and deal with Constraint violations within the relational database model
6. Explain the concept of transaction processes and concurrency control
