Description
In the digital media environment, students need to quickly familiarise themselves with ever changing technologies, concepts and media forms.This module aims to provide a good grounding in the use of digital media software and an understanding of digital media concepts to help prepare students for specialised production in years two and three. Each student will be required to learn basic skills with photo, video and audio editing software.

Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate best practice in computer file management
2. Use multimedia production software applications
3. Select & organise a collection of video and audio clips into an edited sequence.
4. Edit Photographs and a multi layered photography document
5. Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of multimedia principals such as: formats, pixels, waveforms and encoding/decoding
