INACTIVE - MODULE AIMS:To establish competence in the basic creative and technical aspects of image capture, editing and manipulation in the evolving multimedia context.To enable students develop a creative, conceptual and personal approach to image production and use in traditional and new media.To explore the genres of photography traditionally associated with narrative, sequence and language (photojournalism, documentary, editorial), and to trace the impact of new digital technologies on these genres.

Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate the ability to research, develop and produce a digital photo-documentary feature, exhibiting an understanding of the technical and professionalism skills required.
2. Apply an understanding of the history ofphotography to lens based practice in contemporary visual culture.
3. Work under pressure and to deadlines
4. Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of narrative within still photographic imagery and apply this to practice-based image assignments.
