To explore a range of editorial techniques specific to online journalismTo analyse professional and ethical issues posed in online journalismTo review evidence for new models of journalismTo analyse impacts of online journalism practices and values on established professional practices and valuesTo consider current and projected technology trends and their possible impacts on journalism practice

Learning Outcomes
1. Integrate new media concepts with evolving understandings of the role of journalists in networked media
2. Analyse and interpret new media practices and potentialities in reporting news and facilitating public debate
3. Recognise opportunities and challenges for journalism in networked media
4. Organize information for online audiences
5. Demonstrate familiarity with established and emerging networked publishing platforms and techniques
