Description
1. To examine the context within which radio and online programme journalism occurs.2. To impart an understanding of basic skills and methods employed by radio journalists.3. To explore the theory of radio journalism in relation to contemporary debates about journalism and broadcasting.

Learning Outcomes
1. Know fundamental requirements of radio journalism appropriate for broadcast or online output.
2. Produce short radio reports, bearing in mind cultural, ethical and social dimensions.
3. Produce a longer feature or documentary report, bearing in mind cultural, ethical and social dimensions.
4. Analyse issues in radio journalism.
5. Update and deepen their knowledge through further research.
6. Critically assess the journalism content of radio stations.
